Invitational is sponsored by Doherty High School and is
run at Bear Creek Park, off of 21st street. This
is a fairly hilly course but still tends to yield some
fairly fast times. This will also be another
opportunity for the JV squad to move up and run at the
varsity level as it's planned to be an off week for our
top six. Be Prepared -
Dress Warm
Schedule: This is the third change
in the last week...and hopefully the last.
3:30 p.m. Girl’s JV
4:00 p.m. Boy’s JV
4:30 p.m. Girl’s Varsity
5:00 p.m. Boys Varsity
Transportation: A single school bus will be
available to take about 40 of our runners to Bear Creek
Park. Actual departure time is yet to be determined,
but plan on some time around 1:30. This bus will be a
"one way bus".
Directions:
From I-25 take
highway 24 (Cimmaron St.) west to 21st street
and take a left. Follow 21st to Rio Grande
and turn left. The entrance to Bear Creek Regional Park
is directly on the right.
Parking:
The buses will
be allowed to drop off athletes and will then be
directed as to where to park.
Spectators
and families will need to park on the west side of 21st
street at Bear Creek West (it is a short 200 meter walk
to the venue). The parking attendants will be strictly
enforcing this issue so as to maintain the natural
beauty of Bear Creek Regional Park.
